This poster was developed for the play All the way presented by the Theatre Arts Department of City College of San Francisco. The play portrays Lyndon B. Johnson’s political efforts to influence members of Congress to support the Civil Rights Act of
1964. I chose to represent the political and nationalistic aspects of the play with an atmosphere of positivity.

Visual Strategy
I was inspired by the work of Emory Douglas, the Graphic artist for the Black Panther Party, to make a bold piece with thick strokes and loud typography. The human figure
is pointing to a doorway representative of opportunity and the stars represent success. Colors of the US flag also reinforce nationalism and the political content.
